Community Impact Grants
The Community Foundation invests in nonprofit partners across the greater Richmond region to strengthen our community through two primary areas of focus: Economic Mobility and Arts, Culture & Belonging. We proactively identify and partner with organizations whose work aligns with these priorities and offer Community Impact Grants by invitation.
Economic Mobility
We invest in organizations that advance economic mobility across the region – those leading programs or initiatives that enable individuals and families to build financial stability, shape their future, and live with dignity throughout their lifetimes and across generations. Our investments prioritize organizations that drive systems-level change across housing, education, and workforce development, while continuing to support essential services that meet immediate needs.
2026 Impact Grantees
The Community Foundation is excited to announce the completion of our 2026 Community Impact grantmaking cycle. This milestone marks the official launch of our updated grants strategy, focused on advancing Economic Mobility for individuals and families across our region. This year, $4.65M in grantmaking strengthens 130 organizations helping individuals and families move toward financial stability – by working to change the policies, practices, and barriers that prevent many people from accessing the opportunity to get ahead, coordinating support across our region, and providing consistent access to services that make long-term economic progress possible.
