Gloucester Comunity Foundation

About Us

Our mission it to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Gloucester through philanthropy and volunteerism. Established in 2000 to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Gloucester through philanthropy and volunteerism, Gloucester Community Foundation provides a mechanism for charitable donations to work locally. GCF is one of three affiliates supported by the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond. As an extension of their mission to serve, engage and inspire people through philanthropy, the affiliate program was developed to help smaller, rural communities encourage local giving to address their own unique needs.

Our Leadership

Our all-volunteer Advisory Board of Directors provides governance, as well as guidance for grantmaking. Staff support is provided by a small team of philanthropic professionals who live in the area, with additional services provided by the full team at the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond.
