Grant Opportunities
The Community Foundation supports several grant programs that serve a specific objective. In some cases, these special funding opportunities reflect the charitable vision of a local donor(s) or Community Partners, while others were created to inspire new ideas and new audiences to advance community change. Please click on the icons below to learn more about these processes including timelines, deadlines, eligibility, previously funded projects, and more.
Our Process
Applications to grants processes that are in house at the Community Foundation and managed by the Foundation, like R.E.B. Jenkins Foundation, Sheltering Arms, and more, are by invitation only. Invitations to a process are based on your organization's competitiveness for the grant process, your request's fit for the process, and your alignment with the particular strategies of that process.
If an invitation to submit an application is extended to your organization, a program officer will guide you on the deadlines of the process, the specific program to apply for or whether you should seek general operating support, and the amount they recommend you request. Program Officers serve as valuable resources throughout this process, offering direction to help you craft the most competitive application. Upon invitation to submit a full application, the form will be made accessible through the online grant portal.
