Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE)
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) is a champion, learning partner, and advisor for Virginia nonprofits. CNE works in partnership with The Community Foundation for a greater Richmond to develop targeted, responsive, and high-quality services and offerings that enhance the ability of nonprofits to manage change and deepen impact. Current CNE offerings include nonprofit advising and nonprofit management trainings.
Nonprofit Advising
As an on-demand, nonprofit help desk, CNE can help answer questions, provide resources, and be a thought partner. Examples of advising topics include:
- Board learning and development
- Recruiting new board members
- Collecting data and measuring impact
- Strategic visioning and action planning
- Succession planning
- Creating a fundraising plan
- Cultivating donors
- Grant research and proposal writing
- Developing an operations manual
- Local meeting and retreat spaces
- Starting a nonprofit
