These organizations are essential partners in understanding our community’s needs and where our collective resources can do the most good. Beyond funding, we facilitate the collaborations, connections, and leadership programs that help nonprofits work more efficiently and effectively. As the largest community foundation in Virginia and the third-largest in the Southeast, we are uniquely positioned to do more for our region.
Grantmaking in greater Richmond
The Community Foundation for a greater Richmond works with partners across the private and public sectors to build a strong, sustainable network of local nonprofits — the organizations closest to the region’s needs and best positioned to expand economic mobility.
Our reach primarily serves the localities of Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, Powhatan, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, and Petersburg.
