Investment Options

Invest your fund to match your giving plans

Your fund is invested so it can grow while you decide where to give. You can choose from several options, and we work closely with our investment partners to oversee each with one with care.

Our investment options

Most endowed funds are invested in the Perpetual Pool, and most non-endowed funds in the Long-term Flexible Pool. Several other options are available too. Your Philanthropic Advisor is happy to help you weigh them.

Typically for endowed funds

Spider Management

Perpetual Pool

Designed so your charitable assets keep making a difference beyond your lifetime. The pool aims to support an annual spending rate of 4% plus fees while keeping pace with inflation. A substantial allocation to private investments is expected to boost returns and reduce volatility over the long term.

Best for: endowed funds and gifts meant to support the community for generations.

FEG

Long-term Flexible Pool

Balances long-term growth with the flexibility to grant when you are ready. It includes some private investments but holds more in liquid assets, so you can respond generously to community needs while your fund continues to grow.

Best for: funds you plan to grant from over time.
